The Oscar-winning underwater adventure “The Abyss,” which debuted in theaters in the summer of 1989, will make a one-night only return on December 6. It will include the recently remastered 4K “special edition” of the film.
In “The Abyss,” Ed Harris plays a deep-sea oil worker whose ex-wife, Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, is the designer of an oil platformer. Following the disappearance of a nuclear submarine, Mastrantonio returns with a SEAL team led by Michael Biehn. They soon discover a more deep mystery involving extraterrestrial intelligence.
